The “walking leaf” insect was one of my childhood’s favorites. This one is a 3 cm-long nymph, it will be 10 cm when adult.
The Phasmatodea (sometimes called Phasmida or Phasmatoptera) are an order of insects, whose members are variously known asstick insects (in Europe and Australasia), walking sticks or stick-bugs (in the United States and Canada), phasmids, ghost insectsand leaf insects (generally the family Phylliidae). The ordinal name is derived from the Ancient Greek φάσμα phasma, meaning an apparition or phantom, and refers to the resemblance of many species to sticks or leaves. Their natural camouflage can make them extremely difficult to spot. Phasmatodea can be found all over the world in warmer zones, especially the tropics and subtropics. The greatest diversity is found in Southeast Asia and South America, followed by Australia. Phasmids also have a considerable presence in the continental United States, mainly in the Southeast.

My Life in Wenzhou NO.2 High School
I have been studying in Wenzhou NO.2 High School for nearly a year. And now, I have used to the school life here.
We have five classes in the morning. After that, we will eat our lunch at canteen. Many delicious foods were served here. You can order what you like and enjoy them sitting near a window. As for dinner, you can eat noodles on the third floor. There must be one suit your taste.
After dinner, I usually take a walk. We have a big fish pool in the center of our school. There are lots of fishes in it. Recently, you can also find some turtles swimming in the pool. They are very cute.
The supermarket is a little far from the teaching building. But there are still many students go to there to buy drinks, bread or snacks after class. If you can’t find the thing you want, you can ask the shopkeepers to add it.
We have a library in our school. It is small but you can find many different kinds of books there. I usually borrow books from the school library, such as Harry Potter.
Some students like reading, some like exercising. You can play basketball or football on the playground. We also have tennis, volleyball and badminton. And you can also play Ping Pong in Ping Pong room.
In a word, our school is lively like a child. The life here is very enjoyable.

Wenzhou is also a good place for shopping. You can buy something in Wuma Street; there are many shops, included KFC and Xinhua Book Store.
